I am Vinay Koshy, and I write everything here.

I have spent years running the missions side of my church, and still do. Mostly that has meant asking people who had gone further than me what they actually did. The answers were never the lists. They were smaller, more specific, and shaped so you could repeat them on a bad Tuesday.

That is the whole idea behind this site. Almost every page you will find on growing closer to God hands you things to do and no way to run them. No stated cost, no cue, and no way to tell whether anything is happening. So people try harder, get nowhere, and quietly conclude the problem is them.

Everything here states what it costs in minutes, where to attach it in a day you already have, and how to tell whether it is working. The measure is your attention, never whether anyone responded.

What I am writing

A 365-day devotional built around one practice that accumulates. 56 days are written. The rest are coming.

What I am not

Not a pastor, not a theologian, and not someone with a platform. I am a person who found his own faith had gone flat, went looking for what actually moved it, and writes down what holds up.
